Pop-Up Art Markets
The Hillsborough Arts Council is exploring the creation of a Pop-Up Art Market Framework, an initiative designed to bring temporary, flexible, and creative art marketplaces to various locations throughout Hillsborough. These markets would provide local artists with accessible opportunities to showcase and sell their work while activating public spaces with vibrant, community-centered cultural activity.
At this early stage, the program is still taking shape, and key details—such as market format, frequency, participating locations, and artist guidelines—have not yet been finalized. As planning progresses, this page will be updated with new information, opportunities, and next steps.
If you are interested in helping to plan or launch this initiative, please complete the Volunteer Form.

The HB Arts Council is pleased to share a volunteer opportunity connected to the JPA Plaza Pop-Up Artist Show, a community arts event organized by one of the founding organizers of the HB Arts Council.
While the JPA Plaza Pop-Up Artist Show is an independently organized event, it reflects the shared goal of supporting artists and fostering creative community spaces in Hillsborough. Volunteers who assist with this event help strengthen local arts engagement and gain hands-on experience supporting a public art showcase.
Volunteer support may include event setup and breakdown, artist assistance, visitor engagement, and general event coordination.
