The Hillsborough Arts Council is committed to enriching our community through meaningful arts programs that inspire creativity, celebrate local talent, and bring people together.  Our programs are designed to support artists, engage residents of all ages, and strengthen partnerships that demonstrate the power of the arts to build vibrant communities.

Whether through public art projects, exhibitions, educational workshops, cultural events, or collaborative community initiatives, each program reflects our mission to make the arts accessible and impactful throughout Hillsborough and the surrounding area.

As a growing organization, we are continually developing new opportunities for artists, volunteers, businesses, and community members to participate.

Exhibit your art at the RV Habitat annual Gala!The Hillsborough Arts Council is honored to partner with RV Habitat to give local artists the opportunity to interpret the “Let’s Open the Door” theme by painting what it means to them on mini doors that will be featured as centerpieces at RV Habitat’s Annual Gala. Showcase Your Art in Our Community!

The Hillsborough Arts Council is pleased to offer artists an opportunity to exhibit their work at Affinity Federal Credit Union in Hillsborough this fall. Craft Show Collective

The Hillsborough Arts Council is excited to offer the community an opportunity to participate in our JPA Plaza Craft Show Collective on Sunday, October 11, 2026 (Rain Date: Sunday, October 18, 2026). This program allows creative makers  to display and sell their artwork or creative products as part of a shared Hillsborough Arts Council booth—without the commitment of attending the event.

Become a teaching partner
Help inspire creativity in our community by sharing your artistic skills, creative techniques, or professional expertise. The Hillsborough Arts Council is seeking members interested in partnering with us to develop and present engaging enrichment classes for the public.

Let's Open the Door

In partnership with Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity, the Let's Open the Door campaign transforms ordinary doors into extraordinary works of art. Local artists create one-of-a-kind painted doors that help raise awareness of affordable housing while showcasing the creativity and talent within our community.

This program provides participating artists with:

• A unique public art opportunity

• Community recognition and exposure

• The chance to support an important community cause

• Opportunities to connect with fellow artists and art supporters
